Behind The Name

We chose this name to honor our founder’s late grandfather-in-law, a man who embraced the beauty of life.

To keep his Cajun French legacy alive, we picked a French word with a deeper meaning.

La Plantureuse simply means "The Busty," just as full-bust women are often called "plus size."

The Face Behind La Plantureuse

La Plantureuse was born from a real need.

If you’ve ever struggled to find a bra that fits, you’re not alone.

Amanda did too—facing years of embarrassment, frustration, and discomfort.

Then came the scare no one wants to hear.

Doctors found a lump in her breast.

Thankfully, it was a false alarm, but the real problem remained—an ill-fitting bra had caused unnecessary worry.

"Why Don't You Make Your Own?"

After your own health scare, wouldn’t you say enough is enough?

That’s exactly what Amanda did.

While venting her frustrations to her husband, he asked a simple question that changed everything: “Why don’t you make your own?”
